International Kitchen Filipino Cuisine

Our “International Kitchen,” is back!  #ExperienceLilBitOfCulture

This program helps to involve our Newcomers and locals over a common mutual love for food.  $10 registration fee. Call 306-637-4920 to register.  ONLY 20 SPOTS AVAILABLE.

Our Second Kitchen is Filipino Cuisine. Try traditional Bulalo Soup, Fish Relleno with Fried Rice and Gelatin Fruit for dessert.

Location: Lion’s Club House, Nicholson Centre Estevan (701 Souris Ave., Affinity Place)

How this works is;

Newcomers host by cooking a cultural dish.  This opportunity allows locals to get involved, celebrate diversity and experience dishes from a wide range of Countries.  The Chefs (Newcomers) teach and share about the dish they are preparing.  Participants can help the Chef by participating in prepping food for cooking (cutting onions, potato, etc.).  Our Chef will cook while locals observe and learn differences in cultural cooking techniques.  After, everyone enjoys a cultural dish they might not have had a chance to taste, and in doing so, get the opportunity to learn about other people, cultures, and their new neighbors.

Please note! This is not a cooking class.  Its kind of is, but for one night to learn about the food our Newcomer is cooking.  Our Newcomer is sharing their culture through food with you.  This is a cooking experience.
